The Theme for The Five People you meet in heaven

The them of this book is Ones action triggers another action and it is a chain. I think this is the theme because it is talked a lot about in the book and it is pretty much the main storyline. The theme means that one persons action will trigger someone else to have a certain action and that certain action of the other person will do the same. It is like a very long line of actions and what they make people do.

The Conflict for The Five People you meet in heaven

The main conflict in this book is probably Eddie against the war. After the war Eddie wasn't the same, he started to hate the things he used to love. The conflict is between Eddies dad and Eddie after the war. Eddie thought that he couldn't do anything he wanted to because his dad and his leg always held him back. It progresses by Eddie's old age and everyone dying without him. He was torn inside when he was the only one left. It's resolved by his death and the knowledge that he attains from the people he meets in heaven. This is a realistic conflict because it could happen to someone today.

The Setting for The Five people you meet in heaven

The setting of the book The Five people you meet in Heaven is in many places, but I think the main setting is the Ruby Pier. It is a Theme park by a sea. The Pier is where Eddie has lived all his life. The Pier smells of cotton candy and there are many games and rides. As many theme parks, there is a giant Ferris wheel in it. Sadly the book deosn't say where this Pier is but I know the time of the book is in the either 1990's or the very early 2000's. I think the story would change totally if it was in a different setting. The Pier is where the door is opened for Eddie so he could understand his life, but it couldn't happen without the platform for "Freddy's free fall" falling on top of him. Then there wouldn't be a story because that would have never happened. Thats what I would think would happen if the setting was different.

Conflict of Miracle Wimp

the main conflict of this story would probably be the problems that Tom, the main character of the story, faces throughout the story. For example his schedule is mixed up and he doesn't get the classes that he wants to, and the teacher of the class he did get is mean and cold hearted. He is also harassed by bully's and he is always made fun of and called miracle wimp, because of his last name mayo. This conflict would be a person vs. person conflict.

Reading also helps build your imagination. In books, there are a lot of things that give descriptions, and you have to imagine waht they are describing, and that helps your imagination grow and become stronger. Reading helps you learn more words. There are endless amounts of words in books, so you can have a vast number of words to learn, read, and know.
